Detailed Tours Description

DAY 1: THE TRANSSIBERIAN TRAIN

We will embark on the transseberian train in the evening at 4PM. We will travel the whole evening and part of the night on the famous railroad linking Moscow with Beijing. Youll arrive in Saishand at 2 AM.

DAY 2: KHAMRIIN KHIID MONASTERY

A jeep will be waiting for you at the railway station and will bring you to a local hotel were you will spend the rest of the night. Those too excited to go to the Monastery can do the journey at night and stay in a family on the way.

Next days you will explore the grounds of Khamariin Monastery (Sambala Khiid), you will discover petrified wood, dinosaurs bones, Sambala energy complex, the cave monasteries. We'll wander around in the beautiful, red coloured sand dunes.

You will take the evening train back to Ulaanbaatar at 9 PM.

DAY 3: TRAIN BACK IN ULAANBAATAR

You will arrive next day at 1 PM in Ulaanbaatar.

OPTIONAL DAY: KHAR UUL MONASTERY

There is another small monastery at the other side of the railroad. Youll drive a good hour to reach this little monastery. Man can climb up the top of the hill and enjoy a beautiful view from high up in the sky.

OPTIONAL DAY: FAMILY STAY IN THE GOBI DESERT AND CAMEL RIDING

The Family lives in the Gobi Desert. We will experience the warm hospitality offered by the Mongolian families. For dinner we will be offered a typical Mongolian meal that will be prepared by nomads. Those who want will have the opportunity to try the airag or fermented horse milk. Our guide - translator will help us to forge contact with the local population.

Those interested will have the opportunity to do camel riding.

OPTIONAL DAY: VISIT THE GOSTH TOWN OF DZUUNBAYAN

At 45 km westwards of Khamariin Khiid monastery there is the Russian military base Dzuunbayan. Today this little town is totally destroyed and deserted, looking as a ghost town.
