Camel Festival
Mongolian people have been celebrating “Thousand Camel Festival” over the last few years. The festival held close to Dalandzadgad celebrates the Bactian two-humped camel that plays an important role in the life of the Gobi nomads.
Over 1000 camels are gathered at the festival. Highlights of the festival include a camel race, a camel polo match. Traditional Mongolian musicians and dancers offer great performances at the festival.
The festival allows the traveler to learn more about the Bactian two-humped camel and to experience the desert herders' traditional nomadic lifestyle
